ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and

This is one of several Shingle Style houses on Munroe Hill. These
buildings share decorative features characteristic of the style such as over-
size roof, dormer windows, porches with simple trim, and bay windows.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state
history and how the building relates to the development of the community.)
J.M. Brooks moved from Cambridge in 1899. His house must have been
completed shortly before then.
