This building first served as a carriage house at the property across
the street which belonged to C. Fairchild in 1906. C. 1920 it was moved to the
present site and converted into a dwelling. It was at one time used as a tea
room.
ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
This house was moved across the street and converted from a carriage house
to a dwelling. Its original appearance must have been very similar to the
carriage house which survives at 182 Waltham Street.
