Wallis Court was laid out between 1885 and 1889 by Lewis Hunt who owned
considerable real estate in Lexington Center. Numbers 2-4 and 6-8 Wallis Court
were built in this period. Hunt built the brick block in the Center known as
the Hunt Block in 1892 (razed in 1966) , numbers 1777 to 1793 Massachusetts
Avenue.
