(Staple additional sheets here) ARCHITECITURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and evaluate in terms of other buildings within the community.) This house shares with its neighbors the International Style feature of rectilinear massing, flat roof, horizontal bands of windows, and large areas of glass. Siting takes advantage of natural landscape features and orients house toward the sun. The long axis of the house is parallel to the slope; all major rooms face south. The maximum span of 2-by-10 joists determined the width of the house and allowed for open-plan living areas. Distinctive features of the house include the wooden ramp suspended from the house by cables to provide (see Continuation Sheet) HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state history and how the building relates to the development of the community.) Part of The Architects Collaborative (TAC) planned community of Moon Hill Road, this house was designed c. 1948 as his own residence by Leonard J. Currie who worked closely with TAC (see Moon Hill area form) . The house was later occupied by Konrad E. Bioch who won the Nobel Prize - 1►', Iq(�� �o✓ Phys►v�ooly' or Medlcio-e-.
