Site of house - Cottrell's Ledge which used to extend half way into Mass. Ave. One
half of the road went over the ledge, the other half skirted the ledge at approximately
present grade level. Ledge was cut back in 1889.
Other features (cont.) : on gable end - post & lintel doorway with grooved pilasters
side lights - brick & granite foundation - brick & slate stairs (14 steps) to front
door- granite block retaining wall - flat-roof, two story addition on right rear-
ridge roof addition on rest of rear.
