According to E.B. Worthen, a very old house forme(ly stood on this property in which Robert Harrington lived (Harrington came to Lexington in 1711) . Ebenezer Pierce was living in the old house in 1825 and, in 1844, built the present house on this site, and "the old house was demolished in 1854" (see Form E-55, 13 Maple Street) . In 1870, this house was purchased by Walter Wellington (see 1889 Walker map) . In the 1930s, the house was remodeled into a two-family house and Frank I. Pierce lived in one-half of it. Source: E.B.
