ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and
evaluate in terms 'of other buildings within the community.)
Similar in overall design to its neighbor to the north, this building
has a broad frieze, panelled corner pilasters, and very simple Greek Revival
frontispiece. A porch with cut-out supports and brackets was added to the
front of the structure at a later period.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state
history and how the building relates to the development of the community.)
W.B. Randolph was the owner in 1853; James E. Foster was the owner from
before 1875 to after 1889. By 1898 William H. Bacon owned and operated the
Pines rotatry Farm here.
