A large scale slate roofed house. Wide cornice boards around main house & pediment
facing street - Greek revival . At right angle to street. indented corner boards
elongated lst floor windows, porch added later.Portecochere with (remodeled)
leaded d lass windows (Colonial revival) & elaborate cut-work, trellis. Italianate
type plan. `
4 chimneys, main house, 3 stories high
Extensive ell, simply treated
Granite wall appx. 14' tall outlines property at sidewalk
2 story bay on hancock Ave. side.
Outbuildings: Barn: cont'd elaborate, shingle-style, topped
Remodeled into garage.

Built in 1845 by David Ainsworth Tuttle "for myself." On the 1889 map
the owner is J. Frank Turner. Remodeled by Willard Brown in the early twentieth
century. See photos of the house after house was remodeled in Willard Brown's
album, Lexington Historical Society archives.
