Members Not Present Kim Coburn, Henry Murphy, Geetha Padaki, Gina Rada, Dave Taylor, Sam Zales. Business • The Chair reported that a quorum was present. • The minutes of the meeting of April 4, 2018, were approved. • The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Community Center. Patriots Day, Monday, April 16, 2018 • Henry Liu of the Lexington Minutemen reported to the committee that the Minutemen were concerned about the weather forecast. He told the committee that the earliest a decision would be made about canceling the reenactment would be Saturday afternoon. He asked for the committee's feedback and the committee confirmed that we would try to hold the afternoon parade if at all possible. • Lorain handed out a list of assignments for committee members on Patriots' Day and asked for feedback. • Paul Jenkins reported that he will deliver the sponsor banners to the East Lexington firehouse on Saturday. Paul also confirmed that John Carroll's truck will be parked at the end of the parade to pick up the banners at the finish. • Wayne confirmed that he will set up the registration desk. Sondra said that she has a tent that could be set up over the desk. • Wayne, Bob Tracey, Dave Taylor, Eric, and Lorain will set up the stakes at 3 pm on Sunday. • Lorain asked if the committee would accept the application of the Committee to Elect Michelle Ciccolo to be a marching unit in the Parade. The committee approved the application. • Need to pin down who will be working at the registration desk. • Lorain asked for committee members to volunteer to attend the Old Guard demonstration at noon on Saturday at the Green. She also asked for members to volunteer to attend the concert at Tower Park by Colonial Williamsburg at 3 on Saturday and to attend the lunch provided for the Old Guard at Brookhaven at 2 pm on Saturday. • Glen Bassett will be the introductory MC for the morning ceremonies. If the morning parade is rained out, the ceremonies will be held at Cary Hall at 8:15. • Lorain reported that the Waldorf School group that will march in the parade asked if they can: o Bring dogs on leashes —Committee said no o Hand out pencils —Committee said no o Bring strollers —Committee said yes • Lorain reported that extra bus parking would be available at C&W Transportation and in the Liberty Mutual parking lot. Committee members can park at the Library and 1 Militia Way. • Lorain reported that Norwich University Marching Band and the Minuteman National Historic Park have withdrawn from the parade. • Lorain confirmed the following time table for committee members: 0 5 am: TCC members who will collect tickets and hand out armbands for the reviewing stand include Bob, Wayne, Sandy, Carol, Mary, Linda, and Lorain 0 7 am: committee assembles at Monroe Cemetery for morning parade 0 7:30 am: parade starts 0 8:15 am: ceremonies on the Green 0 9:00 am: committee goes to St. Brigid's for pancake breakfast 0 11:00 am: committee members assigned to golf carts pick up carts and radios at the Visitors Center 0 11:30 am: committee members working at registration desk be at desk. • Golf carts should be returned to the Visitors Center. Radios should be returned to John Carroll's truck, along with banners. • Sondra confirmed that David Fitch will be the announcer for the parade. • Sharon Spaulding will be on the Reviewing Stand to check that only VIPs with tickets are allowed on the stand.
