Minutes of Meeting
May 23, 2018

Members Present
Lorain Marquis, Chair; Glen Bassett, Suzanne Caton, Linda Dixon, Carol Flynn, Mary Hutton, Sondra
Lucente, Wayne Miller, Julie Miller, Bill Mix, Sandy Podgorski, Gina Rada, Sue Stering.
Members Not Present
June Baer, Kim Coburn, Karen Gaughan, Cerise Jalelian, Paul Jenkins, Henry Murphy, Geetha Padaki,
Bob Tracey, Dave Taylor, Sam Zales.
Business
• The Chair reported that a quorum was present.
• The minutes of the meetings of May 2 and May 16, 2018, were approved as corrected.
• Lorain announced that TCC elections of officers will take place at the next meeting, June 6.
She also made several suggestions about how the committee might be reorganized for next year
and asked the committee members to think about any changes they would like to see.
• The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Community Center.
• The meeting on June 13 will introduce possible new committee members.
Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2018
• Linda Dixon will send the script for the ceremonies on the Green to the Minutemen Captain.
• Dawn McKenna will make the hand-held audio system available for Wayne to pick up from the
Visitors Center on Sunday.
• Sandy volunteered to buy one case of small water bottles for the ceremony.
• Lorain asked committee members to where their TCC jackets and hats.
• Linda Dixon reviewed the wreath laying and parade scripts with the committee, along with the
parade route and timing.
• Lorain mentioned that a driver for the Grand Marshal's car is needed and asked the committee
for suggestions.
• It was decided to ask Ed LoTurco, the parade Grand Marshal, to read the Gettysburg Address at
Munroe Cemetery.
• Lorain will send the list of VIPs attending the ceremony to Glen and Gresh for the program.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:1Opm.
