Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Joann Gschwendtner, Lynn
Hopkins and Stephen Politi; Associate Commissioners: Sara Chase, Elaine Doran, Dan Fenn,
and Eleanor MacQueen.
The minutes of October 7, 1999 were approved.

Historic Districts Commission
1752 -1766 Mass. Avenue — Jeffrey Lyon, representing Lexington Center Realty Trust, received
approval to re- roofing building, including replacing cooper edging, and remove snow fence.

11 -15 Waltham Street — Jeffrey Lyon, representing Lexington Center Realty Trust, received
approval to replace two bow windows with matching custom windows with copper over each
window. Will return in spring for color approval. Certificate No. 99C -71
14 Muzzey Street — John Severini, representing Severini and Associates, received approval for a
sign, matching existing signs on building. Certificate No. 99C -72
8 Curve Street — Joe Hunt received approval for a new garage/breezeway addition. Certificate

A -R Investments (Cablevision) — received approval to temporarily move existing cables up
higher on telephone poles and install new cables. Every effort will be made to keep nodes and
power supplies out of the Historic Districts. Certificate No. 99C -69
RCN - BecoCom LLC — received approval to put up new cables for new cable service. Every

669 Mass. Avenue —Brian and Hannah Silverman received approval for reroofing, ridge vents,

Mass. Avenue at Waltham Street — Police Kiosk Building — Police received approval to install a
6 -sided building. The building will include the traffic box. Every effort will be made to include

31 Curve Street — David and Bill Rothfuchs received approval for the demolition of the home at
31 Curve Street and the footprint of the new two - family house. Continued for details.

INFORMAL HEARINGS
1357 Mass. Avenue — Rick Bechtel, representing Will and Lauren Spielvogel, presented plans
for major exterior architectural changes to home and new detached garage. Commission likes
the plans. Will return for formal hearing.
One Meriam Street — Gerald Frank, representing Al Jick of Via Lago Pasta, presented plans for
moving the door entrance. Commission suggests removing awning on Meriam Street side and
replacing awning on front. Will return for formal hearing.
2027 Mass. Avenue — Steve Hurley, representing Dana Home of Lexington, presented plans for
signage, landscaping, and new elevator. Needs to go before Conservation Commission. Will
return for formal hearing.
Ms. Gschwendtner reported that she spoke with Jenna Johnson regarding the lighting at Depot
Square. They are waiting for the money to be appropriated; when that happens she will come
before the Commission as a posted non - advertised hearing for lighting approval.
Sara Chase submitted her resignation letter to Steve Politi.
