HISTORIC DISTRICTS COMh1ISSION

A meeting of the Historic Districts Commission was held on Wednesday,
February 15, 1984, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. Present were Commis-
sioners S. Lawrence Whipple, Secretary; Roland B. Greeley, Ann Wallace; and
Associate Commissioners Linda J. McAulay and Mary Harding Nye. Mr. Greeley
nominated Mr. Whipple to serve as Chairman Pro Tem, seconded by bars. Wallace,
and so VOTED.
At 8:27 P.M. Robert Custance,representing The First Baptist Church at
1508 Massachusetts Avenue, presented drawings and proposal for a free
standing sign at the side of the Church by the office. The sign would be
3' x 5'8" and not more than 6' above grade. The letters of "The First
Baptist Church' would be 2" high, those for "Office" and "Walk-In-Center"
would be 1 1/2--1 3/4", and those for the address, etc. would be 1 1/4".
The proposal was VOTED.
Bills for $8.28 for Beacon Publications, $21.94 for S. J. Ingalls, and
$52.00 for Barbara Gilson were VOTED.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
