L. Davies, Roland Greeley, S. Lawrence Whipplet and Associate
Commissioner Linda J. McAulgy.
At 8x15 P.M. Leader Federal Savings & Loan Association

1840 Massachusetts Avenue to compensate for the loss of 5
windows on their westerly elevation next to which Almajo Realty
Trust is constructing a second floor addition. The skylights
will not be visible from ground level. The bank also requested

At 8045 P.M. Helen Cambourelis, President of Lois Ernst,
Inc. Realtors, and her architect, Manuel Rempelakis, came in
for further discussion of exterior architectural changes to
the premises at 15-17 Muzzey Street. These were first reviewed
at a hearing on November 28, after which several members of the
Commission viewed the property on Saturday morning, December 1,
1979•
Mr. Packard expressed a preference for leaving the front
particularly the porch) unchanged, far reducing the size of
the rear dormer, and eliminating exterior fire escapes. Mr.
Davies and Mr. Morehouse said they would not object to skylights
and a small vestibule on the front and asked if interior stair-
cases could be built instead of fire escapes. They made a
number of other helpful observations on these matters.
Following the lengthy discussion, all members of the
Commission agreed that revised plans were needed, and Mr. Davies
and Mr. Morehouse volunteered to go over such plans before the
Commission's next meeting on January q, 1980.
At 9050 P. M. Amy and Nelson Gore and their contractor,
Zack Gould, presented plans for the installation of a skylight
and a bay window in a bathroom on the north side, second floor,
of their home at 822 Massachusetts Avenue. Members of the
Commission were skeptical of the bay window and concerned
about the dimensions of the skylight. Some agreed to look at
the roof after the dimensions of the skylight were outlined.
There will be a formal hearing on January 9, 1980 before which
