A meeting of the Historio Districts Commission was held on Wednesday,
November 12, 1975? at 8e00 P. M. in Room G15, Town Office Building, Lexington,
Present were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman; Georgia H, Williams,
Secretary= Donald J. Shaw; S. Lawrence Whipple; and Associate Commissioner
Amelia G. Samoylenko, Mrs, Samoylenko was appointed to serve For Commissioner
Thomas J, Holzbog who was unable to be present.
It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate of
Appropriateness to G, Ruth McCormack and Maryelene R, Dailey with respect to
the erection and display of five signs for tenants of the building at 1620
Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the Battle Green District.
It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate of
Appropriateness to Mary E, Washburn with respect to the erection and display
of a sign on the building at 1620 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the
Battle Green District,
It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTID to issue a Certificate of
Appropriateness to H. Gordon Buchanan d/b/a Buchanan Real Estate with respect
to the erection and display of a sign on the building at 1620 Massachusetts
Avenue, which is within the Battle Green District.
It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED to issue a Certificate of
Appropriateness to C, J. Eliades d/b/a Heritage Homes with respect to the
erection and display of a sign on the building at 703 Massachusetts Avenue,
which is within the East Village District,
It was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED to issue a Permit for De-
molition or Removal to F. William Smith with respect to the demolition or
removal of the barn and a portion of the connecting shed in the rear of the
dwelling at 1009 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the East Village
District,
Participating in the above decisions were Commissioners Wilbur M,
Jaquith, Georgia. H, Williams, Donald J. Shaw, S. Lawrence Whipple, and Asso-
ciate Commissioner Amelia G. Samoylenko.
It was unanimously VOTED that the chairman write F. William Smith re-
questing additional information and elevation plans for the condominium com-
plex planned for 1009-1049 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the East
Village District before legal notices are published for hearings.
