HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-08-15 HISTORIC DISTRICTS COM1~ffSSION A meeting of the Historic Districts Commission was held on Wednesday, August 15y 1Q73, at 7tg0 P.M. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, Toren Office Building, Lexington. Present were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chair» man; Donald J. Shaw; Georgia H. W111iams; and Aasoaiate Commissioners S. Lawrence Whipple and Royston T. Daley. Mr. Daley was appointed. to serve for Commissioner Thovms J. Hoizbog who was unable to be present. Mr. Whipple was appointed, to serve for Commissioner Philip B. Parsons who was unable to be present. Mr. Shaw moved that Mrs. Williams serve as Secretary Pro Teen, seoonded by Mr. Daley, and so VOTID. Mr. Jaquith asked Mr. Shaw if he would attend a meeting at 7x30 P.M. on Wednesday, August 29th, vrhich the lbwn Manager had called to discuss the nest fiscal years budget. l+&s. Amelia Samoylenko submitted one Pat3,o Paving Brisk for approval. Mr. Daley moved that the Pat3.o Paving Brick submitted for nee in The Lszing- ton Mews Trust be approved. Seconded by Mr. Shaw and unanimously VOTED. Mr. Shaw said that he understood that Soribners Market had been sold and was being remodeled for a delicatessen. Mr. Shaw asked if the sign on the skirt of the awning of Co1o~Ai Stores, Inc. had been appraved and Mr. Jaquith said that the sign is to be removed. The ohairman and members disonssed the status of the Fo11en Church and the Forg eases which have been appealed to the Middlesex Superior Court.
