HISTORIC DISTRICTS COMMCSSION
A meeting of the Historic Districts Commission was held on Saturday,
March 11, 1972, in Room G15 of the Town Office Building, Lexington at ~t3O
P.M. Present were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman; George E.
Graves; Donald J. Shaw; Georgia H. Williams; and. Associate Commissioners
Albert T. Pitt and S. Lawrence Whipple. Mr. Pitt was appointed to serve for
Philip B. Parsons who was not present. Mrs. Williams was appointed to serve
as Secretary Pro Tem.
Mr. Jaquith submitted three scale drawings and three copies of Specifi-
cations of the proposed building of The. Lexington Mews Trust for erection on
the premises at 10-12 Muzzey Street, which is within the Battle Green Dis-
trict. Following discussion, it was moved, seconded, and unanimously VOTED
to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness to The Lexington 1~sws Trust, Amelia
G. Samoylenko et als, Trustees, for the erection of a building at 10-12 Muzzey
Street and also a Permit for Demolition or Removal of the two .existing build-
ings on the premises. Participating in these decisions were Commissioners
Wilbur M. Jaquith, George E. Graves, Donald J, Shaw, Georgia H. Williams, and
Associate Commissioner Albert T. Pitt.
Mr. Jaquith stated that a letter withdrawing the application for the
fence at 3 Tower Road had been received. He stated that a hearing would be
scheduled for Thursday, Aprul 6, 1972, at qt 45 P.M. on the application of
Leonard J. Colwell for a Certificate of Appropriateness with respect to the
paving of the driveway and rear yard of the premises at 4 Vine Brook Road.
A hearing will be scheduled for St15 P.M. that same evening on the applica-
tion of Marilyn M. Harrison far a sign for the store at 72 Waltham Street.
The meeting was ad3ourned at 620 P.M.
