ON AUGUST 28, 1968 The Lexington Historic Districts Commission held a meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 1968, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Members present were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman, George B. Graves and Max H. Straw and Associate Connie- stoners omairstoners Carl F. Bryant and George W. Emery. In the absence of Score• tary Philip B. Parsons, upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED that Commissioner George E. Graves serve as Secre- tary Pro Tempore. Hearing was held at 7:30 P.M. on the application of Rowe Chevrolet, Inc. for a Certificate of Appropriatenessvith respect to a change In lighting fixtures for the premises at 33 Bedford Street, for a Corti- ficate of Appropriateness with respect to the erection and display of a sign for the building at 33 Bedford Street and for a Certificate of Appropriateness With respect to the erection and display of a sign for the premises at 39 Bedford Street, which is within the Battle Green District. Mr. George E. Rowe, Sr. and Mr. George E. Rowe, Jr. ap- peered and presented scale drawings of the proposed signs, a Plot Plan showing the locations of lighting poles and standards, .photographs of the proposed locations of the signs and the present locations of said poles and standards and a brochure and actual sample of the lighting fixtures to be installed. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to issue to the applicant thetas Certificates of Appropriateness requested. No other persons having appeared, the hearing was closed at 8:35 P.M. Adjourned hearing was held at 9,35 P.M. on t` e application of Robert 0. Tillinghast. Original hearing on the application was held on March 29, 1968. Mr. Tillinghast appeared and presented scale drawings of the proposed dwelling at No. 473 Massachusetts Avenue and also scale drawings of a proposed fourth structure on the property. Upon request by Chairman Jaquith Mr. Tillinghast submitted a letter of extension to November 15, 1968 to the Commission. No other persons having appeared, the adjourned hearing was adjourned at 10:00 P.M. The next nesting night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, 1968, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building to consider the application of Robert O. Tillinghast with r espect to the ereotion of a new dwelling at No. 473 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the East Village District. The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 P.M. George E.
