The Historic Diet riots Commission met at 7:30 P.M. in the Selectment s Room
to farther consider the application of First Pa^ish Church for aea*tificate d
Appropriateness.
Present were Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman, Philip B. Parsons, Secretary,
George B. Graves and Associate Commissioners Geolge Emery and Donald B. White.
The chairman reviewed the status of the application and the plans *Ltilthe
commission. He informed the commission that he had notified the Chairman of the
Building Committee, Mr. Parker Hirtle, in writing on January 19, 1967, that the
oammission would meet on February 1, 1967, to take action on the application.
Mr. Jaquith stated that he had not heard from Mr. Rirtle until Tuesday, January 31,
1967, *hen he received a telephone call from him stating that the Committee of
the First Parish Church wished to extend the time for the commission to act on the
application and that he would submit a written request extending the time for the
commission to act on the application until March 1, 1967. The letter was read at
the meeting.
Upon motion duly made 81 seconded, it was unanimously VOTED that the extension
a time until March First be granted to the First Parish Church. The chairman stated
that he would write a letter to Mr. Hirtle accordingly.
Mr. Jaquith stated that he had received bills from Minute Man Publications
as follows: $4.50 January 5; $4.50 January 19; $13.50 January 26. Upon motion duly
made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED that the commission process these bills
for payment.
