HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-07-13 • July 13, 1966 The Historic Districts Commission met at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 13, 1966, in the Town Accountant' s doom for the purpose of electing a chairman of the commission. Present were Wilbur M. Jaquith, Philip B. Parsons, Secretary, Ruth G. Bevan, Max H. Straw and Associate Commissioner Carl E. Bryant. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED that Ruth G. Bevan be Chairman Pro Tempore for the meeting. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED that Wilbur M. Jaquith be elected Chairman of the distoric Districts Commission. Mr. Jaquith assumed the office of chairman and presided for the remainder of the meeting. There was discussion regarding a set of rules and regulations for the commission. Mr. Straw stated that he and Donald B. White were working on this. It was agreed that this matter would be taken up at a future date. Mr. Jaquith stated that he had appeared at the adjourned meeting on the hearing of the Town's application for a certificate of appropriateness at 8:00 P.M. on June 29, 1966, and in the absence of a quorum adjourned the meeting until Wednesday, July 27, 1966. It was noted that the town furnish the commission with a letter extending the time for action on this application until July 29, 1966. The next meeting of the commission will be held on Thursday, August 4, 1966. The meeting was adjourned at Philip B. 'arsons Secretary •
