HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-11-17 • November 17, 1961 The Historic Districts Commission met at 8:00 P.P.Q. in the Selectmen's Office, Town Office Building. Present were Donald R. Grant, Chairman, Philip B. Parsons, Secretary, Wilbur M. Jaquith, Ruth Bevan, George E. Graves and Associate Commissioner Carl E. Bryant. The Chairman stated that he had received a telephone call from Mr. Ivan W. Douglas, President, Sanscott Corporation, who expressed a desire to meet informally with the commission withr egard to his property on Bedford Street, which he has leased to Stop and Shop. It was agreed that a meeting be held at B:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 8, 1964, in the Selectmen' s Room, to discuss this matter. Further discussion was held on the problems of Mark Moore, Jr., with regard to his property at 42 Hancock Street. Summaries of the case were given by the chairman and Wilbur M. Jaquith. A photograph of the Hancock-Clarke House was viewed by the members of the commission. Also present at the meeting was Mr. Francis Worrell, 183 Cedar Street, Lexington. It was agreed that the Chairman write a letter to Robert E. Meyer, Chairman of the Planning Board, in which he state that the Commission has an interest in the subdivision of the old Jackson p roperty on Hancock Street and that the commission have a print of any definitive subdivision plan which may be approved by the Planning Board. It was further agreed that the Chairman talk to Mark Moore, Jr., with regard to placing blinds on the rear elevation of the house on Hancock Street.
