The Historic Districts Lommission met at the time and
place specified in the public notice of the hearing on the
application of William A. Moore, for a certificate of appropriate-
ness for the display of a sign on the premises at 9 Depot Square,
which is within the Battle Green District.
Present were Donald H. Grant, Chairman, philip B . Parsons,
secretary, Wilbur Jaquith and Associate Commissioners Ralph A .
Burnham and William B. Hoyt.
The chairman read the letter of application received from
Mr. Moore. Mr. William A. Moore appeared in behalf of the
application and presented a scale drawing of the proposed sign.
Various questions were asked by the commission members.
On motion made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED
to grant to William A. Moore a certificate of appropriateness with
respect to a change in the legend of an existing sign displayed on
the left-hand side of the front of the premises at 9 - 11 Depot
Square, which is within the Battle Green District.
Hearing was held at 8: 25 P. M. on the application of David G .
Pinkham for a certificate of appropriateness for the erection and
display of a sign on the premises at 29 Depot Squ..re, which is
within the Battle Green District.
The chairman read the letter of application received from
Mr. Pinktiam. Mr. David C. Pinkham appeared in behalf of the
application and presented the commission with a drawing of the
proposed sign. The commission members asked Mr. Pinkham various
questions regarding the sign. Mr. Pinkham stated that the sign
has already been prepared and is presently at the sign company.
Accordingly, it was agreed that members of the commission view
the proposed sign, and a meeting be held at 6:45 P. M. on Tuesday,
April 16, 1963, in the Town Accountant' s Office to further discuss
the application.
The meeting was adjourneedd'�. at 9:25 P. M.M.
