The Historic Districts Commission met at 8: 00 P. M.
on Monday, August 14, 1961, in the Town Accountant' s office,
Town Office Building, Lexington.
Present were Donald E. Legro, Chairman Pro Tempore,
Philip B. Parsons, Secretary, Cyrus wood, and Associate
Commissioners Charles H. Cole and Ralph A. Burnham. Donald R .
Grant was also present but did not participate in the discussion
or vote on the application of Felix Realty Trust.
The purpose of the meeting was the further discussion
on the application of Felix Realty Trust for a certificate of
appropriateness with respect to changes in the exterior
architectural features on the premises at 6 - 8 Muzzey Street,
which is within the Battle Green District.
The applicant was represented by Jo hz E. Burbidge,
Builder, who presented a new drawing of the proposed changes.
questions were asked by various members of the commission.
On motion made and duly seconded, it was unanimously
VOTED to grant to Felix Realty Trust a certificate of
appropriateness with respect to changes in the exterior
architectural features on the premises at 6 - 8 Muzzey Street,
w hich is within the Battle Green District.
It was brought to the attention or the commission that
there was a sign on the building at 9 Muzzey Street, which had
not been approved by the commission. Mr. Grant agreed to contact
Dr. heuben regarding the sign.
TYere was discussion as to the date of the next
hearing of four applications. T1e date was set for Thursday,
September 7, 1961.
