• The Historic Districts Commission met at the
time and place specified in the public notice of the hearing on
the application of Nathan B. Ricker f^r a, certificate of
appropriateness as to the proposed change in the color and mat rial
of the shingles on the roof on the premises at 59 rorest Utreet,
Lexington, which is within the Battle careen District.
Present were Donald n. Ura_nt, 'heirn n, 'hili D .
Parsons, Becret, ry, Edwin B. Worthen, Jr. , Donald 6. Legro, and
Associate Member earl Dryant.

On motion made anu duly s_conded, it 7-es nirously
VOTFD to grant to l+athLn b. Ricker a certificate cf aPproDriateness
to cover the roofs on the building on the )reni.s_s at 59 lea=at utr t.
Discussion vas had of the proposed sign of Hancock
Congregational Church. The members of the commission had an
opportunity tc view the dimension of the sign on uaturduy, October
22, 1960.
On motion made and duly seconded, it was unanimously
VOTED to grant to Hancock Congregational Church a certificate of
appropriateness for the erection of a sign which is to be located
in close proximity to the chapel in the position indicated on the
drawing number 4 submitted by Jerome Bailey roster, A-rchitect, on
the Premises at 1912 Massachusetts Avenue, which is within the .battle
Green District.
The chairman read a letter received from i lix nealty
Trust with regard to application for a certificate of appropriateness
for changes in the exterior architectural features on the premises
at 1792 - 1800 Massachusetts Avenue inclusive. Hearing was
assigned for Wednesday, December 7, 1960.
