HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-11-28PLANNING BOARD MINUTES MEETING OF NOVEMBER 28, 1983 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Offices, was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by the Chairman, Mrs. Smith, with members Flemings, Nichols, Sorensen, Uhrig and Planning Director Bowyer present. 235. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On the motion of Mrs. Nichols, seconded by Mr. Sorensen, the minutes of the meeting of October 31, 1983, and the Executive Session of October 31, 1983, were approved unanimously as written. The minutes of the Executive Session are now public. 236. MUZZEY SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT The Board reviewed the final draft of the SPS report to the Board of Selectmen acting as the Special Permit Granting Authority. Members had phoned in suggested comments which were incorporated into the final draft. Mr. Sorensen had suggested that the reference to waivers in Section 7.10 of the Land Disposition Agreement be changed to a direct quote from the agreement because the paraphrasing had changed the meaning somewhat. Mrs. Uhrig's questions about the return of the reservation deposit were clarified. On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Nichols, it was voted unanimously to recommend in favor of granting the SPS provided certain points are addressed and ' to approve the report on the special permit application dated November 28, 1983. It was agreed that the Chairman would summarize the report orally for the Selectmen and those attending the hearing. 237. APPLICATIONS TO BOARD OF APPEALS Mrs. Flemings presented an oral review of two cases to be heard by the Board of Appeals on December 8, 1983. On the motion of Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mrs. Uhrig, it was voted unanimously to make no recommendation on either of the following cases: 45 Bernard Road, Diane Kapulka: SP, maintain two sheds 7 Stedman Road, Assemblies of God: SP, sign Mrs. Flemings will attend the hearing of December 8, 1983; Mrs. Smith will be responsible for other cases to be heard in December. The Board recessed at 7:26 p.m. to attend the public hearing on the SPS application for the Muzzey School development. The Board reconvened at 10:28 p.m. After a brief postmortem on the Muzzey School development, the meeting was adjourned at 10:33 p.m. dith J. U g, Clerk 90Z
