HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-06-22279 P_,ANITNING BOARD MINUTES MEETING OF .TUNE 22, 1982 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-7, Town Offices, was called to order at 7:39 p.m. by the Vice Chairman, Mr. Sorensen, with members Nichols, Uhrig, and Planning Director Bowyer present. Mr. Sandy and Mrs. Smith were absent. ' ^ 91. APPLICATIONS TO BOARD OF APPEALS N The Board reviewed a staff analysis dated June 18, 1982 on cases to be heard by the Board of Appeals on June 24, 1982. The Board generally concurred with the staff recommendations with several changes suggested. On the motion of Mrs. Nichols, m seconded by Mrs. Uhrig, it was voted unanimously (3-0) to follow the staff recom- mendation and to recommend that the Board of Appeals: 2 Forbes Road, Honeywell, Inc.: Grant the special permit provided there is a guarantee that neither the Town nor the State will be responsible for relocat- ing the sign when Marrett Road is widened. 80 Bedford Street, SP. -Change in Non -Conforming Use: Deny the special permit with the objective that the property revert to residential use. . 80 Westview Street, SP:__ Deny the special permit until adequate information .. about the proposal is submitted for the Planning Board to review. Mellex Road, Kiln Brook V. Dupree Associates: The Board reviewed a draft report and recommendation on the special permit, with site plan review, of the proposed Kiln Brook V development. Several corrections and suggestions were made. On the motion of Mrs. Nichols, seconded by Mrs. Uhrig, the Board voted unanimously (3-0) to recommend that the special permit not be granted unless limitations on peak hour traffic parking are imposed, and to approve the report as corrected. Meliex Road, Kiln Brook V, Dupree Associates, Special Permit National Flood Insur- ance District: The Board reviewed a draft report on the application of a special permit under Section 9.6. Several suggestions and corrections were made. On the motion of Mrs. Nichols, seconded by Mrs. Uhrig, the Board voted unanimously (3-0) to recommend that the special permit be granted provided watertight floodproofing of the basement is indicated, and to approve the report as corrected. In the.discussion of the special permit requested for 80 Bedford Street, Mr. Sorensen indicated he had personal friends in the personnel consulting business and that he would disqualify himself from consideration of this case if he knew those individuals were involved. After review of all materials available about the case, there was no evidence that the individuals whom Mr. Sorensen knows were par- ticipants in this application. Minutes of 6/22/82 2 2'7'7 92. ELECTION OF PLANNING BOARD OFFICERS: The Planning Board's procedural rules require that the annual organizational meeting and election of officers take place at the last business meeting in June. On the motion of Mrs. Uhrig, seconded by Mrs. Nichols, it was voted unanimously (3-0) to postpone the organizational meeting and election of officers until July 6. 1982, when all five members of the Board are expected to be present.
