PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF JUNE 16, 1982
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in Room G-15, Town Offices, was
called to order at 7:33 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. Sandy, with members Nicholai.
Smith and Sorensen, and Planning Director Bowyer present. Mrs. Uhrig wa
s
absent.
90. ARTICLES FOR 1982 TOWN MEETING
Article 53, Muzzey Junior High Property: Mr. Bowyer reported that a new site de-
velopment and use plan had been filed that afternoon. The amount of commercial
LO office space in the proposed development is reduced to 58,000 square feet and the
(V number of parking spaces is increased to 269. He showed where additional parking
® spaces will be located and that an "overflow" parking for the senior center would
Q be located on the playfield, although not included in the 269 parking spaces.
m Mr. Sandy noted that the new site development and use plan still did not include
Q the senior center as a permitted use and that there was no limitation on types of
uses which would have high traffic generating potential. Mr. Bowyer noted that the
limitation on the maximum number of employees, which had been in an earlier draft
of the site development and use plan, was now deleted.
Article 52, Conveyance of Muzzey School Property: Margaret Rawls was present to
explain a revision in her proposed substitute motion. The revision deletes a pro-
posed interagency committee as a formal requirement but requests that the Selectmen
- x coordinate with the agencies. On the motion of Mrs. Smith, seconded by Mrs.
Nichols, it was voted 4-0 to support Mrs. Rawls' proposed substitute motion.
Mr. Sorensen stated that the senior center should be handled separately on its own
merits and not be tacked on to a development proposal.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
