PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF MAY 24, 1982

was cabled to order at 7:38 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. Sandy, with members
Nichols, Sorensen, and Uhrig, and Planning Director Bowyer present. Mrs. Smith
was absent because she did not receive notification of the meeting.
78. ARTICLES FOR 1982 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Article 55, Adams School Property Conveyance: The Board discussed the pro-
LO posal to convey the Adams School property to the Waldorf School. Mr. Sandy
N indicated he was opposed to a sale of the building but would support a lease
for a five-year period. Mrs. Uhrig suggested that tearing down the building
0 and providing access to the open area in the back was probably
the best solu-
a
tion. After further discussion, the Board was not enthused about the sale of
co the building to a private school but could not agree on an alternate use to
support.
Article 61, Hartwell Avenue and Wood Street: The Board reviewed some technical,
editing changes in the site development and use plan. Julian Bussgang of Sig-
natron, Inc. and Samuel Altreuter of Spaulding & Slye Corp. were present. Mr.
Bowyer reported that the revised stipulation from the Cosgroves and Marie
Maguire had been submitted.
