HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-01-26MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING January 26, 1981 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by the Chairman, Mrs. Wheaton, with members Friedman, Nichols, Sandy, Sorensen, Planning Director Bowyer and Assistant Planner Asen present. 21 APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon a motion by Mrs. Nichols, seconded by Mr. Sandy, the minutes of the Planning Board meeting of January 12, 1981, were unanimously approved as written. CERTIFICATE OF ZONING COMPLIANCE 22. Lot 2, Map 55, Grant Street; CZC 81/3: The Building Commissioner's request was taken from the table. Mr. Bowyer reported the Town Engineers had determined that the section of Grant Street in question was never abandoned and the lot in question still abuts the right-of-way even though the paved section of the street has been relocated. Upon a motion by Mr. Friedman, seconded by Mr. Sandy, it was voted unanimously to concur with the Building Commissioner's finding that lot 2, Map 55 is a buildable lot. 23. APPLICATIONS TO BOARD OF APPEALS Lot 41G, Bedford Street, Michael Colangelo, Special Permit with Site Plan Review: A draft report with recommendations on the petition of Michael Colangelo for a Special Permit with site plan review was reviewed and amended. Upon a motion by Mr. Friedman, seconded by Mr. Sandy, the Board voted 4 - 1, with Mrs. Nichols opposed, to recommend denial of the Special Permit for the reasons stated in the report. SUBDIVISION OF LAND 24. Woodpark Estates Subdivision, Release of Surety: The board reviewed a letter from Andrew J. Lane, requesting a final release of surety on the Woodpark Estates Subdivision. Upon a motion by Mr. Sandy, seconded by Mr. Friedman, the Board voted 4-1, with Mr. Sorensen in opposition: To deny the request by Andrew J. Lane, President, A. J. Lane Construction Company, dated December 30, 1980, for release of surety on Woodpark Estates Subdivision because: 1) there are a number of lots in the subdivision which have less than three trees of 1 1/2" or greater trunk diameter located within 20 feet of the nearer exterior line of the street as required under Section 7.8 of the subdivision rules, and 2) weather conditions do not permit the Town to check the locations of all bounds and water service shutoffs.
