HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-03-24PLANNING BOARD MEETING March 24, 1980 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Friedman with members Nichols, Sandy, Sorensen, planning intern Steven Asen and administrative clerk Mrs. Snow present. The Annual Report to Town Meeting on the Housing Policy Plan will be sub- REPORT mitted jointly by the Planning Board and the Housing Authority. The Plan -HOUSING POLICY ning Board will submit a supplementary report regarding its policy on PLAN donation of low income units by proponents of multi -family rezoning pro- posals. Dr. Friedman's draft letter to John H. Seites, Cambridge Water Dept., in CAMBRIDGE response to Mr. Seites' request for expansion of the Wetland zone to in- LAND REZONE clude additional Cambridge owned property (Lot 5, Map 35) was read and TO "W" was unanimously approved as written. The rezoning will be proposed by the Planning Board at the next Town Meeting. Dr. Friedman's draft letter to the Board of Appeals regarding the Maillet MAILLET, petition for variance (area and frontage at Morris Street) was read. The MORRIS ST. letter was amended as suggested by Mr. Sorensen, who will prepare a sub- B/A stitute paragraph before the end of the meeting. The letter was unanimous- ly approved as amended. The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated June 11, 1979, by Miller & Nylander, submitted on March 14, 1980, with Applica- tion Form A80-2, showing Lots A and B at East Street requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Plan submitted with Application Form A80-3 by Norma D. Perry, previously FORM A80-3 discussed at the March 19 meeting was reviewed. It was noted that the PERRY, BEDFORD notation: "Lots A and B do not conform to current zoning", had been added & N. HANCOCK to the plan, as required by the Board. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated March 14, 1980, by Miller & Nylander, submitted with Application Form A80-3 by Norma D. Perry on March 19, 1980, showing property at 265 Bedford St. and 9 and 11 N. Hancock St., requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The Board reviewed a plan showing Lot E at Hunt Road submitted with Appli-FORM A80-4 cation For A80-4. The plan showed separation of a small portion of Lot E HUNT RD, KEN (2,934 s.f.) which abuts another Lot (#2 Hunt) also owned by the petitioner, Andrew Ken. The statement on the Application Form had been amended for clarification to read: "Lot E-1 meets with the present zoning requirements of the Town of Lexington", and a note had been added to the plan: "This plan subdivides Lot E into 2 lots. Lot E-1 is a buildable lot. Lot E-2 is not in itself a buildable lot." Upon,a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: Plan submitted with Application Form A80-2 by Mark Moore, discussed at the March 19 meeting, was reviewed. The Board reviewed a plan submitted with Application Form A80-5, showing FORM A80-5 a lot at Hancock Street which extends tharough to Somerset Road. The HANCOCK ST. petitioner proposes division of the lot into two lots, both with adequate FANO frontage and area. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimous- ly VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated March 19, 1980, by Miller & Nylander, submitted on March 24, 1980, by Robert M. Fano with Application Form A80-5, showing Lots B-1 at Somerset Road and B-2 at Hancock Street, requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The Planning Board meeting schedule for April was considered. Meetings APRIL MTC. will be posted for April 2, 7, 9, 14, and 16, 1980, at 7 p.m. Additional SCHEDULE meetings will be posted at a later date, depending upon the progress with Town Meeting. Minutes of January 28, 1980, were unanimously approved as amended. Minutes of February 4, 11, and 19, 1980, were unanimously approved as written.
