PLANNING BOARD
May 2, 1979
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:05 p.m.
by the Clerk, Mrs. Wheaton, with members Nichols, Sandy, planning director
Briggs, and administrative clerk Mrs. Snow present. Dr. Friedman joined the
meeting at 7:45 p.m.
The members reviewed a request by Theodore L. Freeman for extension of RIDGE EST. II
time for Planning Board action on the standard subdivision plan for Ridge STANDARD RO
Estates II. Mr. Briggs reported that cluster plans for the same site EXTENSION
had been submitted to the Board of Appeals on May 1. Upon a motion duly
made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED:
To extend to October 31, 1979, inclusive, the time within which the
Lexington Planning Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan
entitled "Ridge Estates II - A Subdivision in Lexington, Mass.",
dated June 21, 1978, by Joseph W. Moore Company, as requested by
Theodore L. Freeman, applicant.
Since it appears that Town Meeting will continue for several more sessions,
the Planning Board will meet on Wednesday, May 9, 1979, at 7:00 p.m.
Landscape plans for Minuteman Ridge II, submitted by Theodore L. Freeman
for the open space circle in that development, were reviewed, and C6ns6r- MINUTEMAN
vation Director Prentiss' recommendationfor changes in the plan, noted. RIDGE II
Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted to approve LANDSCAPE
the plan, subject to written agreement by Mr. Freeman that he will comply
with modifications as recommended by Mr. Prentiss.
Conditions imposed by the Board of Appeals for special permitfor Cheryl's
Bakery (hearing on April 12) were discussed. CHERYL'S
BAKERY
Board of Appeals notices of hearings to be held on May 10, 1979, were
reviewed. The Haynes Management petition for decreased parking in con-
junction with construction of an additional building at 1050 Waltham St.,
was reviewed. It will be advised that the parking provision, as proposed,
is consistent with the recently passed zoning amendment (Article 68, as
yet not ratified by the Attorney General), and that the Planning Board has
no objection to the application of the new law. Some relocation of spacesshown
within 25 .feet -of the abutting RO zone will be recommended.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
