HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-04-231 1 1 PLANNING BOARD MEETING April 23, 1979 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by the chairman Mr. Zabin with members Sandy, Nichols, Friedman, Wheaton, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Draft Special Permit for Willow Ridge subdivision, prepared by Mr. Briggs, was reviewed and revised. Action on the permit was deferred to April 25 Letter from Task Oriented Communities, dated April 19, 1979, requesting T.O.C. HANDI- Planning Board endorsement of a proposal to locate HUD funded housing CAPPED for handicapped in Lexington was considered. A letter will be sent to HOUSING T.O.C. expressing support of the concept but noting prohibition under Lexington's current Zoning By -Law for this type of housing. Dr. Sandy's motion on Article 72 (Frontage on Rights -Of -Way That Are ARTICLE 72 Not Legal Streets) as amended by Dr. Friedman, was reviewed and upon a MOTION motion duly made and seconded, was unanimously approved. The Planning Board's meeting schedule for May is as follows: May 2, MAY MEETING 7, 14, 21, 1979. SCHEDULE Dr. Friedman suggested amendment to the motion under Article 66 (Non- ARTICLE 66 conforming Uses, Lots, Structures). He will make a motion that the MOTION word "non -conforming" be stricken from the first line of Subsection 30.3.3. Mrs. Nichols will present an amendment to Article 64 (Accessory Apart- ARTICLE 64 ments) to require that the accessory apartment be of less floor area MOTION than the remaining section of the original dwelling. Request from the Board of Selectmen for Planning Board recommendations DENK PETITION on the Denk petition to purchase tax title Lot 92 on Property Map 50 TAX TITLE LOT (Grandview Ave.) was discussed and 1977 Planning Board letter on the same request, noted. The Board will Testate its 1977 position on the request: that the Denks be allowed to purchase the lot on the condition that it be combined with their adjacent lot and remain unbuilt upon.
