HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-03-21PLANNING BOARD MEETING March 21, 1979 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by the chairman Mr. Zabin, with.members Sandy, Nichols, Friedman, Wheaton, planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Plan submitted with Application Form A79-6, showing land at Garfield St., was reviewed. Planning Board endorsement of the plan is sought for re- FORM A79-6 cording purposes. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unani- GARFIELD ST. mously VOTED: MC NEELEV The plan submitted on March 20, 1979, by Talmadge McNeely, with Application Form A79-6, entitled'i'lan of Land in Lexington, Mass." dated February 25, 1979, by L. G. Brackett, Inc., showing Lots 35 through 38, requires .no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The vote was conditional upon the addition of a notation to the plan: "The area of land encompassed by Lots 35 through 38 is now a single non -conforming lot with no frontage on a legal street". The planning director was authorized to sign the plan on behalf of the Board follow- ing the addition of the note. The Board reviewed a plan submitted with Application Form A79-5 showing FORM A79-5 the Scottish Rite property at Marrett Rd. It was noted that the plan, MARRETT RD. previously submitted and rejected with Form A79-3, had been revised as SCOTTISH RITE required. Mr. Briggs explained the proposal to construct a home on the parcel for an employee of the organization. B/A permit dated October 5, 1971, prohibiting further construction on the lot without specific B/A approval, was noted. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: The plan submitted on March 14, 1979, by Stanley Maxwell, President, Supreme Council, A.A.S.R. with Application Form A79-5, entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated February 5, 1979, revised March 2, 1979, by Miller & Nylander, showing Lots B1 and B2 at Marrett Rd., requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The vote was conditional upon the addition on the plan of a notation: "Lots B1 and B2 combined are subject to the B/A permit dated October 5, 1971, and no building permit should be issued without prior approval of the Board of Appeals". The planning director was authorized to sign the plan on behalf of the Board following addition of the note. Mr. Briggs' draft report on the Mark Moore rezoning proposal, Morrow ARTICLE 77 Crossing (Article 77) was reviewed and the recommendations of the MORROW CROSS - Board considered. The members were polled as to their position. Mrs. ING Nichols, Mr. Zabin and Dr. Friedman are in favor of the rezoning, Mrs. Wheaton and Dr. Sandy oppose. Mr. Zabin drafted the recommendations portion of the report, to include views of all members, and upon a motion 4 duly made and seconded, it was VOTED by a majority to approve the report. The Memorandum of Understanding, statement regarding provision of low/ moderate income housing, will be signed by Mr. Moore and submitted to Town Meeting attached to the report on Morrow Crossing.
