Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to defer action on minutes of February 21, 27, March 7, 13, 20 and 22, 1978. Mr. Briggs reported question raised as to whether the Conservation Comm. ARTICLE 67 can be designated as SPGA under Article 67 (HUD Flood Ins. Article). HUD Both Town Counsel Cohen and Alexandra Dawson, MAPC, have expressed doubt as to legality of such designation. Mr. Zabin will draft an amended motion specifying the Board of Appeals as SPGA, instead of the Conserva- tion Commission, as proposed in the Article. Request of John C. Tuttle, Jr. for extension of time on Willow Ridge WILLOW RIDGE subdvision, was considered. Because of the ongoing Town Meeting, pre- EXTENSION viously scheduled public hearing on the subdivision plan will have to be deferred beyond the present action date. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED unanimously: To extend to May 31, 1978, inclusive, the time within which the Lexington Planning Board must act on the fefinitive subdivision plan entitled "Willow Ridge in Lexington, Mass.", by Miller & Nylander, dated February 13, 1978, revised March 9, 1978, as requested by Landsail, Inc., John C. Tuttle, Jr., Executive Vice President, applicant. A new hearing date was scheduled for May 15,1978, at 8 p.m. Letter from Dennis Lowe, Esq., dated April 4, 1978, regarding reasons RIDGE EST.II for disapproval of the preliminary subdivision plan for Ridge Estates II on March 20, 1978, was reviewed. Norman Cohen will be asked if improvements can legally be made to Ridge Rd., as stated in Mr. Lowe's letter. Opposition to the Bicycle Path Article by residents of the Fairfield BIKE PATH Drive was noted and discussed. It was agreed that paved, rather than ARTICLE unpaved paths would result in less damage to the environment and would probably be a deterrent rather than an encouragement to motor bikes. The Planning Board will support Article 36, with its proposal for eight ft. path widths. Dr. Sandy's memo dated April 3, 1978, recommending insertion in Sec. 25 of the Zoning By-law "25.10.3 Billboards" with designation "No" in every column, to ensure restriction of non -accessory signs in business districts. Dr. Friedman will inform the Bd. of Appeals of this suggestion to amend the motion for Article 61. It was agreed that unless specifically requested at the time of approval of written minutes, tape recordings of meetings will be kept no longer than three months. Tapes of public hearings will be kept indefinitely. The meeting adjourned at 7:58 p.m. Iris G. Wheaton, Clerk TAPES, PL. BD. MEETINGS
