PLANNING BOARD MEETING
November 28, 1977
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:33 P.M.
by the chairman Mr. Zabin with members Clarke, Friedman and Sandy, planning
director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance was
Laura Nichols, Lexington Minute -Man. The meeting was held in the audi-
torium of the Jonas Clarke Junior High School to accommodate attendees
at the public hearing on the site proposal for conversion of the Hancock
School, scheduled for 8 p.m. (Article 17)
All members present signed Planning Board reports on Articles 12, 13, 14
and 15.
Draft motion on Article 15 regarding re -use of municipal buildings, was ART. 15
reviewed, amended and unanimously approved as amended. MUNICIPAL BLDG:
The regular meeting was suspended at 8:05 p.m. to open the public hearing
on Article 17. The meeting was resumed at 9:05 p.m.
The Board reviewed draft of the historical portion of the report on ARTICLE 17
Article 16, which was approved as amended. Unanimous support of the
proposal as presented by Sydney & Noyes, developers, was voted. The
Report will be concluded with recommendation for passage of Article 17.
Mr. Briggs reported on submission by John Tuttle, Landsail, Inc., of WILLOW RIDGE
revised plans for Willow Ridge subdivision.
Mr. Briggs also informed the Board that Theodore Freeman has submitted RIDGE EST. II
both conventional and Planned Unit Development plans for Ridge Estates
II subdivision.
The meeting adjourned at 10:31 p.m.

PLANNING BOARD MEETING
December 5, 1977
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:15 p.m.
by the chairman Mr. Zabin with members Clarke, Friedman, Sandy, planning
director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance was
Laura Nichols, Lexington Minute -Man.
Planning Board report on Article 17, as approved on November 28, was
signed.
Plan submitted with Application Form A77-35 on behalf of the Conservation
Commission, showing a 2.5 acre easement off Old Grove St. at the Johnson
Farm was reviewed. Mr. Briggs reported on Town Counsel's advice that the
plan be endorsed by the Board. It was decided that a notation designat=
ing Old Grove St. as an abandoned way should be added to the plan. Upon
a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED:
The plan entitled "Compiled Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated
August 12, 1976, by John J. McSweeney, submitted on November 30, 1977,
by W. Clifford Prentiss for the Conservation Commission with Applica-
tion Form A77-35, showing conservation easement off Old Grove St.
(Art. 58, 1973), requires no approval under the Subdivision Control
Law.
The vote was conditional upon addition of a notation: "abandoned way"
with reference to Old Grove St. The planning director was authorized to
sign the plan on behalf of the Board following addition .of the note.

The Board reviewed a plan submitted with Application Form A77-36, showing FORM A77-36
addition to the Weinmayr property from Fiske Common land at East St. MOORE EAST ST.
Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED:
The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated
November 22, 1977, by Miller & Nylander, submitted on December 2,
1977, by Moore Homes Inc., Mark Moore, Jr., with Application Form A77-
36, showing a 26,562 s.f. parcel at East St., requires no approval
under the Subdivision Control Law.
Letter from John J. McSweeney, Dir.,P.W./Engr., dated November 30, 1977,
was reviewed. The letter described Engr. Dept. inspection and unsatis-
factory "filling" operation at Woodpark Estates subdivision. It was
decided that conference on the matter of the violation with the Town
Manager will be sought following which consideration will be given to
revocation of the Certificate of Action approving Woodpark Estates.
