HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-05-23PLANNING BOARD MEETING May 23, 1977 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:50 p.m. by the vice chairman Mr. Zabin with members Friedman, Wheaton, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance was Laura Nichols, Lexington Minute -Man. Minutes of Planning Board meeting of April 4, 1977, were approved as MINUTES 4/4, corrected. Minutes of April 6 and 11, 1977, were approved as presented. 4/6 & 4/11/77 Dr. Friedman's draft letter to the Board of Selectmen regarding procedures under state law for Town -wide installation of underground wiring was UNDERGROUND reviewed and approved as revised. WIRING Redrawn plan showing 7 lots and conservation easements at Drummer Boy FORM A 77-11 Green Phase II, previously endorsed by the Board under Application Form REVISED A77-11 on April 25, 1977 (with easements not shown), was reviewed. DRUMMER BOY Mr. Briggs explained Conservation Commission request that all easement appear on the plan before its recording. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to endorse the amended plan.(see minutes of 4/25/77) The Board reviewed a plan submitted with Application Form A77-12, showing FORM A 77-12 3 lots to be combined to form Lots #1 and #2 at Valleyfield St. Upon a VALLEYFIELD motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: MASCIULLI The plan entitled "Subdivision Plan of Land in Lexington, MA", dated May 11, 1977, by Otte & Dwyer,Inc., submitted on May 18, 1977, by Ralph J. Masciulli, with Application Form A77-12, showing land on Valleyfield St., requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Plan submitted with Application Form A77-13, involving lots in the approved and recorded Bicentennial Farms subdivision , creating an additional lot FORM A 77-13 on Bicentennial Dr., was reviewed. Town Counsel's advise that the Plan- BICENTENNIAL ning Board, though reluctant to do so, should sign the plan,was noted. DR.,FREEMAN Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass., Bicentennial Farms", dated April 29, 1977, by Oiva E. Hintsa, showing Lots 411A, 412A, 413A, 414A, 415A, and 425, at Bicentennial Drive, submitted with Application Form A77-13, on May 17, 1977, by Theodore L. Freeman, requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The Planning Director was authorized to sign the three abovementioned Form A plans on behalf of the Planning Board. H.U.D Federal Flood Insurance Administration request for meeting with HUD FLOOD MTG. representatives of various Town agencies for review of the Preliminary 6/23 Flood Insurance Study, was noted. The Planning Board will be represented at the June 23 meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the Planning Office, by Mr. Zabin. Varian/Lexington Vacuum Division expansion plans, revised per Engineering VARIAN VACUUM Dept. recommendations, scheduled for Board of Appeals hearing on June 9, B/A were reviewed briefly. Discussion was tabled pending Engineering Dept. comment on the revised plans. Page 2 5.23.77 Memo from George A. Smith, Health Director, dated May 10, 1977, announc- TEST PITS ing Board of Health decision not to permit test pits/perc tests for PERC TESTS new construction from June to October or November, was noted. Mr. Briggs will suggest to Mr. Smith that it would be appropriate to limit such tests to a period from March to June. The meeting adjourned at 9:09 p.m. i Manfred P. Friedman, Clerk
