HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-03-08PLANNING BOARD MEETING March 8, 1976 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members MacKenzie, Friedman, Zabin, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were Robert Bradley, D.A.C., and David Williams, Conser- vation Commission. Minutes of Planning Board meeting of February 23, 1976, were approved MINUTES 2/23 as written. Mr. Briggs explained need for extension of time on Vine Brook Estates VINE BROOK EST subdivision plan to allow for scheduling and advertising of a public SUBDV. hearing. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: EXTENSION To extend to March 16, 1976, inclusive, the time within which the Planning Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Vine Brook Estates", dated October 1, 1975, by Miller and Nylander, as requested by Wilbur C. Nylander and Alfred P. Tropeano, applicants. Plan submitted with Application Form A76-9 was reviewed, and Dr.Friedman FORM A76-9 gave information on acquisition of the conservation land at the Winches- JOHNSON RD. ter line as shown. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: CONSERVATION The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated July 31, 1975, by Barnes Engr. Co., Inc., submitted with Application Form A76-9 on March 2, 1976, by James E. Chase, Town Engineer, showing conserva- tion land at Johnson Rd.,Winchester, requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Mr. Briggs was authorized to sign the plan on behalf of the Board. Informational portion of draft report by Mr. Briggs on Article 99, ARTICLE 99 rezoning from RO to CG of land at Winter/Bedford streets, was reviewed, WINTER ST. and amended, and Planning Board position on the proposal was considered.REZONING Mr. Briggs will complete the draft as revised expressing opposition of the Board to the rezoning. Mr. Briggs reported on request of A. J. Lane for release from Covenant on Woodpark Estates subdivision. Procedures for posting of surety are now WOODPARK EST. being implemented. It was voted, conditional upon evidence of filing of BOND performance bond by the developer, that the subdivision be released from Covenant. Town Counsel will be asked to prepare necessary instruments. Public Hearing on the definitive plan for Minute Man Ridge II subdivision MINUTE MAN was scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 at 8 p.m. in the Planning Board RIDGE II office. News release on progress with the Recreation Study will be prepared and, prior to transmittal to the Lexington Minuteman, will be reviewed by Dr. Clarke.
