HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-01-26L 1 PLANNING BOARD MEETING January 26, 1976 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members Costello,•Brown, MacKenzie, planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- dance were Gordon Brigham, D.A.C., and Manfred Friedman, Conservation Comm. Minutes of December 29, 1975, meeting were approved as corrected. Plan submitted with Application Form A76-4, showing land at Hartwell Ave.FORM A76-4 and Hinchey Rd., was reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, HARTWELL AVE. it was VOTED: COLANGELO The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass." dated January 13, 1976, by Miller & Nylander, showing Lots A & B at Hartwell Ave., submitted on January 19, by Frederick J. Conroy Esq., for Michael and Josephine Colangelo, requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. During discussion of the abovementioned plan, question arose as to status of Hinchey Rd., now owned by 115 Kendall Corp., with regard to procedures for abandonment by the Town. Related plans submitted with Application Forms A76-2 and A76-3, showing FORMS A76-2 land at Massachusetts Ave., were reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and & A76-3 seconded, it was VOTED: MASS. AVE. ROWE AUTO The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass." dated December 1S, 1975, by Miller and Nylander, submitted on January 19, 1976, by Frederick J. Conroy, Esq. for D. & R. Realty Trust, showing land at Massachusetts Avenue, requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "plan of Land in Lexington, Mass." dated December 18, 1975, by Miller & Nylander, submitted on January 19, 1976, by Frederick J. Conroy, Esq. for D & R Realty Trust showing a 19,646 s.f. parcel at Massachusetts Ave., requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The Board reviewed a plan showing land at Pearl St. and Bartlett Ave., submitted with Application Form A76-1. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated December, 1975, by John J. Sullivan, submitted by Frederick J. Conroy on Jan 19, 1976, by Frederick J. Conroy with Application Form A76-1, showing land at Pearl St. & Bartlett Ave., requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED; Because of wide application in the Town, mailing of copies of legal notification of the Public Hearings to be held on February 18 and 19, 1976, on proposed "W" zoning Articles to land owners affected thereby is not deemed necessary. Owners of Green & [,shite land will be notified by Certified Mail and legal notices will be published in the Lexington Minute -man as required. Letter from Town Engineer Chase, stating amount of $150,000 necessary LOWELL EST.II for surety on Lowell Estates II subdivision, was noted. Upon a motion BOND duly made and seconded, it was voted to authorize the planning director to inform the developer, Louis Stoico, that security of $150,000 will be necessary to ensure completion of work in Lowell Estates II. Mr. Briggs reported on his conversation with Mr. Brooks, U.S. Postal INCOMING MAIL Service, and his assurance that no attempts at land acquisition for an DEPOT incoming mail depot are being made at this time. ' At 8:35 p.m., Norman Cohen joined the meeting for discussion concern- BATTLEVIEW PK. ing suit by developers of proposed Battleview Park subdivision, and COURT CASE summons served to Planning Board members. Mr. Cohen explained the basis of the suit, and informed the members that no appearance by them is necessary. Letter from the Board of Selectmen to Grey Nuns, indicating lack of GREY NUNS interest of the Town in purchasing of properties on Pelham Rd., was PELHAM RD. noted. Preparation of reports to Town Meeting on Planning Board Articles was PLANNING BD. considered. Preparation of report on Wetland Articles was tabled pending Public Hearings on the Articles. Mr. Briggs reported on rezoning proposal for land at Winter St. to WINTER ST. allow construction of a restaurant.
