January 12, 1976
The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m.
by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members Zabin, Brown, MacKenzie, planning
director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were
Manfred Friedman, Conservation Commission, Gordon Brigham, D.A.C., and
Steve Politi, Lexington Minute Man.
Minutes of Planning Board meeting of December 15, 1975, were approved
as corrected.
Definitive plan for Vinebrook Estates subdiNsion was discussed and
copy of Engineering Dept. letter to Board of Health, dated 1.8.76,
was noted. Mr. Briggs will urge the developer to supply necessary
contour plan as previously requested. He reported the developer's
willingness to provide a 20' easement along the Vine Brook.

Discussion continued on request of Mark Moore to have Town & Country CENTRE VILL.
street lights installed, at his expense, on a trial basis at Centre STREET LIGHTS
Village development. Mr. Briggs reported on data comparing the above-
mentioned with conventional street lights. It was voted that Mr. Moore
be allowed to install the fixtures on a trial basis.
Letter dated 1.2.76, from Acheson Callaghan, Town Counsel, regarding TOSIO,MAY/
the proposal of Mr. Tosio to develop lots on May/Bowker streets on BOWER STS.
the basis of approval of a subdivision plan in 1909, was reviewed.
' It was concluded that Mr. Tosio can be required to comply with current
subdivision standards, even though the plan was approved prior to the
subdivision control law.
Chapter 808, Revised Zoning Enabling Act, was referred to and it was CH. 808
agreed that, in the light of provisions of the new Act, the Zoning ZONING ENAB-
By-law is in need of revision. Mr. Zabin and Mr. MacKenzie will work LING ACT
as a subcommittee to prepare proposed revision for the 1977 A.T.M.
Board of Appeals notices for January 22 were reviewed. Of these, the BD. APPEALS
Planning Board will report on Minuteman Ridge, P.U.D. proposal, and 1/22 HEARINGS
in opposition to the Saunders petition to create two small lots on
Hillcrest Ave. Mr. Briggs will prepare a draft on the P.U.D. proposal
and a statement of opposition on the latter item
