HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-12-15PLANNING BOARD MEETING December 15, 1915 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:36 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members Costello, Brown, MacKenzie, Zabin, planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- dance was Manfred Friedman, Conservation Commission. Andrew J. Lane met with the Board by appointment to request reconsidera- 140ODPARK EST. tion of the refusal to allow amendment of the Covenant for Woodpark COVENANT Estates subdivision. Zoning Enabling Act reference regarding such matters was read by the chairman. Changes requested by Mr. Lane, involving post- ing of surety in a lower amount after more extensive construction in the subdivision is completed, were explained. The members voted to allow the procedures as outlined if legally advisable, and provided that the Covenant be rewritten in such a way as to require construction of roads be completed or bond posted for remaining work before any lot is trans- ferred. Articles to be proposed by the Planning Board, concerning clarification T.M. ARTICLES of the Zoning By-law were considered: corrections in numbering involving references to RD District and Swimming Pool regulations, and replacement of the term "Building Inspector" with "Building Commissioner". Proposed Article concerning stream setback requirement, as outlined in report presented by the wetland subcommittee, was noted and the concept discussed. It was the consensus of the Board that Mr. Zabin, chairman ' of the subcommittee, continue with development of this Article. Distri- bution of the abovementioned report to various Town Boards, TMMA, Engin- eering firms, and various citizens groups was proposed. The subject matter of the five Articles contained in the report was noted, and it was agreed without dissent that the Planning Board position will be estab- lished following public hearings. It was unanimously agreed that Legal Advertisements for the hearings to be held in February will be published as soon as the maps for filing with the Town Clerk are prepared.
