HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-10-06v PLANNING BOARD MEETING October 6, 1975 ' The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:33 p.m by the vice chairman Mr. MacKenzie with members Costello, Brown, Zabin, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- dance were Manfred Friedman, Conservation Commission, Richard Rogers,D.A.C. Minutes of Planning Board meeting of September 22, 1975, were approved as presented. MINUTES 9/22 Mr. Briggs' draft letter to the Board of Appeals re the Colangelo COLANGELO B/A petition concerning office buildings on Hartwell Ave. (hearing 10/23) HARTWELL AVE was reviewed and amended to include reference to Design Advisory OFFICE BLDGS. Committee recommendations on a planting scheme. Mr. Briggs was authorized to sign the letter on behalf of the Board. Mr. Rogers, who presented the D.A.C. recommendations as prepared by PLANTING John Frey, referred to the planting scheme for the Colangelo develop- SCHEN.E L.A.C. ment a*, a possible basis for broader guidelines to apply to other similar industrial developments in the area, and informed the Board of D.A.C. intention to develop such guidelines. The Board reviewed a plan of land at Hartwell Avenue, submitted with FORM A75-25 Application Form A75-25. Mr. Briggs reported on conference with P.ARTWELL AVE Town Counsel regarding Planning Board action on the submission. Upon FOSTER a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass. Being a Sub- division of Lot 1, LCC 32606A", dated October 1, 1975, by R.D. Nelson, submitted on October 3, 1975, with Application Form A75- 25 by Craig Foster requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The plan was so endorsed. Proposal of Emilio Spagnuola to build on two lots at Clelland Rd. was CLELLAND RD. discussed briefly following Mr. Briggs' report on site review of the lots. Edward Tosio's similar proposal for land at Bowker/May St. was also noted. Advice of Town Counsel will be sought before further discussion of the items. DNR Order of Condition for Lowell Estates II subdivision, dated 9.23.75,LOWELL EST. was read in part by Mr. MacKenzie and its conditions reviewed with II DNR ORDER respect to the approved subdivision plan. OF COND. Notification from MAPC, dated 9.26.75, was read, informing the Board MAPC WETLAND of Lexington's priority in the HYD/FIA rate mapping project, to be MAPPING undertaken by private consulting firm under contract to the federal government.
