HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-06-161 1 1 PLANNING BOARD MEETING June 16, 1975 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members MacKenzie, Costello, Zabin, Brown, planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- dance was Richard Rogers, D.A.C. The minutes of Planning Board meeting of May 5, and May 12, 1975, were MINUTES 5/5 approved as presented. & 5/12/75 Instrument for release of lots 1 - 14 in Centre Estates subdivision, CENTRE EST. prepared by Town Counsel, was reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and RELEASE OF seconded, it was voted to endorse the document reflecting the vote of the LOTS 1- 14 Planning Board on May 28, 1975. Plan submitted with Application Form A75-14, showing land set aside for FORM A75-14 subsidized housing on the St. Brigid's Church property, was reviewed. Because the plan did not show the entire church property from which the parcel was created, it was agreed by all that the linen should be re- drawn to do so. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated May 14, 1975, by Miller & Nylander, submitted by James Dolan, Esq. for the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston, showing 97,884 s.f. lot at Worthen Road, REQUIRES approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Mr. Briggs will inform the applicant of reason for this action of the Board. Emilio Spagnuola met with the Board for discussion of drainage plans for Ingleside subdivision. Mr. Spagnuola reported on conference with abuttors to the pond within the subdivision, who desire to have the water level of the pond maintained at its present level, and requested that he be allowed to drain by leeching system or dry wells, rather than by culvert, as first proposed. The Town Engineer will be consulted as to his willingness to approve of the new concept. INGLESIDE DRAINAGE PLAN, Mr. Briggs draft letter to the Board of Appeals on the Haroian petition HAROIAN B/A (hearing June 19) was reviewed, and D.P.W. letter, dated June 13, 1975, PETITION on the matter, was read. The draft was amended to include reference to requirement for underground wiring in the development, and was approved as amended. Letter dated May 28 1975 from Howard Cravis Vice Chairman TMMA, in- TMHA FORUM f ) f viting the Planning Board to suggest tDpics for forthcoming Town Meeting Forums, was read by the chairman. It was agreed that discussions of im- pact of Red Line extension, and because of the critical situation at the Sanitary Landfill, disucssions of problems relative to solid waste disposal would be suggested. Dr. Clarke will respond to the letter. Memorandum dated May 30, 1975, from John J. McSweeney, Director of Public TOWN OF LEX- Works & Engineering, concerning Town of Lexington construction standards, INGTON CON- STRUCTION STANDARDS D 1 Page 2 6.16.75 accompanied by several prints illustrating these standards, was noted. LEXINGTON Mr. Briggs will have several sets of the prints reproduced for review of CONSTR. the members, before response to D.P.W. request that the standards be STANDARDS incorporated in the Planning Board's Rules and Regulations Governing the Subdivision of Land. Mr. Costello and Mr. Zabin agreed to work on revi- sion of the Rules and Regulations. The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m. 0101, Albert P. Zai , Clerk
