HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-05-75PLANNING BOARD MEETING May 5, 1975 ' The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with umbers MacKenzie, Brown, Zabin, planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were John Davies and Richard Magnuson, D.A.C. Mr. Briggs` draft letter to the B/A regarding the CR Trust (Postal Service) petition (hearing 5/8/75) was reviewed and approved as amended. CR TRUST At 8:05 p.m. Nishan Haroian.met with the Board to present proposed re- design of layout plans for Minuteman Village, multifamily development off MINUTEMAN Concord Avenue. Six residents of the area also attended. Changes to the VILLAGE original plan as approved by B/A action in 1973, re architecture, road placement, building mix and locations, and drainage plan were discussed. DAC memo of recommendations, dated May 5, 1975, was noted. Mr. Haroian agreed to meet with his architect, Mr. Danielson, the planning director and members of the DAC in the planning board office for discussion of possible revisions to relieve the visual impact of the new design. Board of Appeals notices for May 22, 1975, were noted and the petition of C.DINIS B/A Charles Dinis for a restaurant at 46 Massachusetts Ave. was discussed briefly. It was decided that no comment would be offered on the proposal. H.D.C. notices for May 7 hearings were noted. James Karatheodore was present to request consideration of the view of Planning Board on possible petition to the B/A for variance to build on undersized Lot DB, Sanderson Rd. 1967 petition to the B/A on the same matter and Planning Board recommendations at that time were read. the KARATHEODORE SANDERSON RT Mr. Karatheodore will investigate to ascertain whether action of the Town or of the developer of the subdivision caused subdivision of lots resulting in undersized Lot DB. Mr. MacKenzie reported on his progress with preparation of a draft re- vised sign by-law. SIGN BY-LAW Dr. Clarke read a descriptive letter, dated April 30, 1975, from Newton- SOLID WASTE Waltham Regional Refuse Disposal District, announcing a meeting on REGIONAL May 13 at Estabrook Hall to discuss constuctiou of a regional solid waste FACILITY recovery facility. Mr. MacKenzie and Dr. Clarke plan to attend. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. 1 Ibi Paul J. MacKenzie, Clerk
