HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-05-28Letter to the Board of Selectmen from Lexington Housing Authority, re- questing extension of the moratorium on specific tax -title lots for use for scattered site housing, was noted. It was voted to recommend continu- ation of the moratorium on lots enumerated on the 1972 listing, as requested by the Housing Authority. The planning director will inform the Selectmen of the action by letter. Mr. Zabin agreed to prepare a draft statement of Planning Board policy on criteria for subsidized housing. At 8:30 p.m., the Planning Board was joined by members of the Waltham Planning Board: Philip Tirrell, James Viviades, Ernest MacKenzie, Thomas Kilkullen, Paul Connolly, and Ed Delaney (Mr. Delaney is also Supt., Public Works and City Engineer), Lexington B/A members Morey, Nickerson and Brod- head, and Philip L. Sullivan representing the U.S. Postal Services. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: To go into executive session for discussion of matters, the dis- EXEC. SESSION closure of which could adversely affect the financial interests of the Town or the reputation of any person. Following discussion of criteria of possible locations for an Incoming Mail Depot, open session was resumed at 9: p. . and the eting was adjourned. Albert P. ZahQW Clerk PLANNING BOARD MEETING May 28, 1975 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:32 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members MacKenzie, Zabin, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were John Davies, DAC, and Steve Politi, Lexington Minute -Man. Minutes of Planning Board meeting of April 7, and April 23, 1975, were MINUTES 4/7 6 approved as written. 4/23/75 Request of Mark Moore, Jr., Moore Homes, Inc., for release of lots 1 CENTRE ESTATES through 14 in Centre Estates subdivision, and memo dated 5/28/75 from RELEASE OF LOT! the Engineering Department, enumerating incomplete work items, were reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: To release lots 1 - 14, inclusive in the Centre Estates - Section 2 subdivision, as recommended by the Town Engineer. Surety in the amount of $50,000 will be provided by the developer and the Town Counsel will be requested to prepare the Release of Covenant for signatures. Mr. Briggs' draft letter to the Board of Appeals on the petition of 115 Kendall 115 Kendall Corporation (hearing 5/29) was approved as amended. B/A HEARING 5/29/75 It was decided that Planning Board meetings during June, July, and August will be held every second Monday, beginning with June 2. Special meetings may be called if deemed necessary. Letter dated May 21, 1975, received from MAPC, announcing information FLOOD INS. meetings on the National Flood Insurance Program, and inviting communit=-;PROGRAM -MAPC ies to also schedule individual "one-to-one" meetings with MPAC repre- sentatives, was noted. It was agreed that June 30 will be suggested to MAPC for Lexington's meeting.
