HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-05-12PLANNING BOARD MEETING May 12, 1975 The meting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chairman, Dr. Clarke with members Zabin, Brown, Costello, MacKenzie, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- dance was John Davies, DAC. The minutes of Planning Board meting of March 3, 1975, were approved MINUTES 3/3 as written. Minutes of March 10, 1975, were approved as corrected. Lynn Hamilton, planning staff, was present to report on Recommendation RECREATION Study Committee recommendations on selection of a consultant to prepare STUDY a Recreation Study. Qualifications and background of The Planning Services Group, unanimous choice of the Committee, were given. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept the recommendation. Mr. Briggs will prepare a draft contract for consideration of the Committee. Plan submitted with Application Form A75-13, showing 115 Kendall Corp. FORM A75-13 property at Hartwell Ave., was reviewed. Mr. Briggs reported that the 115 KENDALL purpose of the submission of the plan was for recording of lots. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan submitted on May 9, 1975, with Application Form A75-13, by Frederick J. Conroy, Esq. for Michael L. & Josephine Colangelo, entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated April 29, 1975, by Miller & Nylander, showing Lot 4 and Lot 5 at Hartwell Ave., requires no approval tinder the Subdivision Control Law. The plan was so endorsed by members of the Board. At 8:10 p.m., Donald Sleeper, Esq., attorney for Kingston Builders Corp. INGLESIDE and Emilio Spagnuola, developer, met with the Board to present a revised drainage plan for a portion of Ingleside subdivision (approved in 1962). Reference was made to the original drainage plan, based on plans for connection of Emerson Rd. The developer requested endorsement of the plan with Subdivision Control not required, rather than through subdivision approval procedures. Question also arose as to whether the plan could be revised under provisions of Chapter 41, Sec. 81X. Pending decision on alternate procedures, date for a public hearing was set for June 2, 1975. Town Counsel will be asked for advice on the matter. B/A permit for St. Brigid's housing was read in part by the chairman. Conservation Commission letter to Sec. Evelyn Murphy, Office of Environ- mental Affairs, dated May 6, 1975, concerning alteration of the Sanitary Landfill and future development of Tophet Swamp, was read.
