HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-01-20PLANNING BOARD MEETING January 20, 1975 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members MacKenzie, Costello, L. Brown, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were Fred Friedman and Laura Nichols, Conservation Comm., Richard Rogers, D.A.C., and Margaret Reynolds, Lexington Patriot. Plan submitted with Application Form A75-1, (previously submitted with FORM A75-1 Form A74-8 and endorsed by the Planning Board on March 15, 1974), was WORTHEN RD. reviewed. Revision of the plan, showing Lots 236, 249 & 250 on Worthen Rd., consisting of addition of figures re boundaries to comply with Land Court requirements, were noted. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "A Subdivision of Land Court Case No. 23539", dated February 25, 1974, by Wilbur C. Nylander, submitted with Appl. Form A- 75-1, on January 20, 1975, by Gerald Cournoyer, Jr., requires no appro- val under the Subdivision Control Law. It was also voted that the planning director be empowered to endorse the plain on behalf of the Planning Board, following addition of a notation refering to its previous Planning Board endorsement. The Board joined the Board of Selectmen at 7:45 for discussion of swim- ming facilities in the Town, and returned at 8:05 p.m. At 8:08 p.m., William J. Under this Article, funds are to be requested in the amount of STUDY $30,000 for consultant -preparation of a land management program. Town - wide drainage study proposals by Whitman & Howard and others were left with the Planning Board for review and comment. Richard Wertheim, Recreation Committee, was present for discussion of Mrs. Brown's draft on the scope of a questionnaire for Town wide distri- RECREATION bution, regarding recreation needs and priorities. Purpose of the ques- STUDY tionnaire was explained and the draft was reviewed as to form and content. The Recreation Committee will review the draft; and, within two weeks, offer suggestions for revision. Hearing scheduled for January 30, 1975, on H.B. 525, concerning revision ZONING ENABL. of the Zoning Enabling Act, was noted and content of the Bill reviewed. ACT BILL Members were asked for comments on changes from previous (1974) Bill. Any comments offered will be transmitted to the Mass. Federation of Plan- ning Boards by January 22. Dr. Clarke plans to attend the hearing to present the Board's point of view. At 10:10 p.m., upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: To go into executive session for discussion of matters the disclosure of which could adversely affect the financial interests of the Town or the reputation of any person.
