HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-12-301 U PLANNING BOARD METING December 30,1974 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members Costello, L. Brown, Clarke, MacKenzie planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance was John Davies, D.A.C. Mr. Briggs' draft letter on the S.M.M. Realty Corp. petition to the B/A SMM REALTY for variances concerning building size, setback, parking spaces, was re- TRUST viewed. Minor changes from the April, 1974, proposal were explained by Mr. Briggs. The letter was approved as written. Draft letter to the Board of Appeals regarding the Centre Estates (Moore CENTRE EST. Homes, Inc.) petition to construct duplex homes in RS zone, was reviewed.B/A Several revisions to the letter were agreed upon, and following prepara- tion of the revised letter by the planning director, the chairman will sign it on behalf of the Board. Request of developer, Theodore Freeman, for extension of time on the BICENTENNIAL definitive plan for Bicentennial Farms subdivision was considered. Upon FARMS SUBD. a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: To extend to January 14, 1975, inclusive, the time within which the Planning Board must act on the definitive plan entitled "Bicen- tennial Farms in Lexington, Mass.", dated September 23, 1974, as requested by Theodore L. Freeman, applicant. Dr. Clarke's draft of the Annual Report of the Planning Board was re- PL. BD. ANNUAL viewed and revised, and will be redrafted by Dr. Clarke. REPORT Drainage report and recommendations on Farmhurst V subdivision, dated FARMHURST V December 20, 1974, received from John McSweeney, Dir. of Public Works 4 Engr., was read in part by the chairman and reviewed. January 18, 1975, was noted as the date for forthcoming court action concerning the subdi- vision. The report will be referred to Town Counsel who will be con- sulted as to possible change in Planning Board procedures in the light of this report. Letter from Frank Sandy to Charles Kennedy, D.N.R., dated December 23, TOPHET SWAMP 1974, with comments on hydrology in the Sanitary Landfill area, was noted. Copy will be sent to C.E. Maguire Co. (Tophet Swamp Study) for their information. Memo from the Town Manager, dated December 27, 1974, regarding provision MAINTENANCE of funds for maintenance of Conservation and other Town -owned land, was noted.
