HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-10-29r 1 n PLANNING BOARD MEETING October 29, 1974 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members Costello, MacKenzie, L. Brown, and S. Brown, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were Gary Marshall, DAC, and Paul Restuccia, Lexington Patriot. Mr. Briggs reported on latest revision of the Ostroff proposal for devel- OSTROFF opment at "First" and "Second" streets and showed sketches of 13 (Ostroff BATTLEVIEW design) lots and 9 (planning director design) lots on the parcel. Status of the streets and alternative designs were discussed. It was generally agreed that the Planning Board may consider less than full zoning require- ments with the possibility of combination with abutting Modoono land. Town Counsel will be consulted as to advisability of such a compromise. At 8:10 p.m. the Board joined the Bd. of Selectmen for an informative briefing by George Stuopis, H. W. Lochner, on plans for the Hartwell Ave. connector road and 400 car fringe parking area. Also in attendance were Messrs Ricciardi and Murphy, State DPW. Mr. Stuopis pointed out location of the road and lot, alignment of which is the same as a plan presented in 1973. Proximity to Tophet Swamp was noted, and elevations for the lot were given. There are few land takings anticipated as most land involved is Town -owned. A public hearing on the proposal will be held on Nov. 19, 1974, at 8 p.m. in Cary Memorial Hall. At 9:55 p.m. the Planning Board returned to its office. HARTWELL AVE. Mr. Briggs reported on his review of Bicentennial Farms definitive sub- BICENTENNIAL division plans, submitted on October 18, 1974. The public hearing is scheduled for November 18, 1974, at 8 p.m. in the Planning Board office. It was decided that the public hearing on the definitive plans for CENTRE ESTAUS Centre Estates subdivision will be held on Nov. 25, 1974, at 8 p.m. in the Planning Board office. The Town Clerk will be informed that the Planning Board will hold regular meetings each Monday during the months of November and December. PL.BD. MTGS.
