HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-09-23PLANNING BOARD MEETING September 23, 1974 ' The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members MacKenzie, L. Brown, Costello, S. Brown, planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were John Frey, D.A.C., and Frank Sandy,CLC. The minutes of Sept.9, 1974, were approved as amended. Bldg. Inspr. Irwin's memo, dated Feb. 21, 1974, recapping history of com ELIOT RD. plaints of Mrs. Mann, alleging zoning violation at the home of Mrs. Chic- ZONING VIOLA- carelli on Eliot Rd., and action of the Insp. Dept., was reviewed. Since TION the Bldg. Inspr. sees no violation in the case, it was agreed that no Planning Board comment is necessary. At 9:30 p.m., following discussion of Planning Board involvement and pro- cedures with respect to possible court action in the St. Brigids case, the members adjourned to the office of the Selectmen, where, in executive session, discussion of legal representation for the Planning Board in the St. Brigids case was continued. At 10:15 p.m., the Planning Board returned to its office for further dis cussion of the same matter until 10:30 p.m. when the meeting was adjourned. Paul J. MacKenzie, Clerk October meeting schedule was considered. Because of the celebration of OCT. MTG. Columbus Day on Monday, Oct. 14, that meeting will be held on Tuesday, SCHEDULE October 15. All other meetings will be held on Mondays, as usual. Form A plan submitted by C. Henry Jackson, showing land at Clarke St., was reviewed. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated Sept.9,1974, FORM A74-24 by Miller & Nylander, submitted on Sept. 23, 1974, by C. Henry Jackson JACKSON with Appl. Form A74-24, showing partial Lot 58 on Clarke St., requires CLARKE ST. no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The plan was so endorsed by members of the Board. Mr. MacKenzie gave a resume of the agenda for the forthcoming SILC meeting SILC MTG. to be held in Estabrook Hall, Lexington, on Sept. 26. Bicentennial Cam- 9.26.74 mittee members and Bicentennial Director Robert Tarlin have been asked to LEXINGTON attend since the program deals with Bicentennial matters. The public hearing on the definitive plan for Woodpark Estates subdivision PUBLIC HEAR - was opened at 8 p.m. and adjourned at 9:09 p.m., at which time, upon a ING WOODPARK motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: ESTATES SUBD. To go into executive session, for discussion of matters the disclosure of which could adversely affect the financial interests of the Town or the reputation of any person.
