HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-04-02PLANNING BOARD MEETING ' April 2, 1974 The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members L. Brown, S. Brown, MacKenzie, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance was Frank Sandy, CLC. The minutes of Planning Board meeting of March 4, 1974, were approved as corrected. Draft of a letter to the Register of Deeds, authorizingsignatures of Planning Board members, and of Kenneth G. Briggs if authorized by the Board, on plans and instruments was reviewed. The letter was signed by members present and Mr. Briggs. Planning Board draft report by Mrs. Brown and Mr. Briggs on the Flintlock rezoning proposal (Articles 103/104) was reviewed and approved as written. Final draft of the Planning Board report on Articles 83/84 (RD Zoning) was reviewed and approved as corrected. Draft report by Mr. Brown and Mrs. Brown on Planning Board Wetland Articles 73, 74, 75 and 76 was approved as corrected. Planning Board report on Citizens' Wetland Article 102 was reviewed and approved as written. Petition of Village Development Corp. (Lowell Estates/Stoico) to the Board of Appeals for a special permit for a Planned Unit Development, and lot layout plan on photogrammetric map, prepared by the planning director, were reviewed. Conservation Comm. is to be consulted as to its recommendations for conditions regarding wet areas and location and size of a holding pond. Plans of SMM/Spaulding & Slye for office buildings on Forbes Rd., as requested variances on setbacks, parking lot location, stall size, and parking space ratio were reviewed. Mr. Briggs will draft a letter of recommendations to the B/A for consideration of the Board on April 8. Definitive plan for Farmhurst, Sec. 5 subdivision, submitted on March 20, 1974, was reviewed. The developer, Richard Hamilton, will be requested to supply proposed contours on the plan. A letter in opposition to construction of the subdivision, received on March 29, from Mrs. Solomon, abuttor, was noted and will be read at the public hearing, to be held on May 6. Frank Sandy's letter and motion on RD Articles 83/84 were reviewed. Mr. Sandy, who was present, participated in discussion of concept ' and implications of the motion. The members present took no position in favor of or opposed to the motion.
