HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-05-061 1 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING, May 6, 1971 The advertised public hearing on the proposed zoning amendment relative VINE BROOK to access to the Vine Brook RM district was called to order by Mrs. Brown, RM DISTRICT Chairman of the Lexington Planning Board, at 8:00 p.m. on May 6, 1971, in the Bird Room, Cary Building, Lexington, Massachusetts. Planning Board members Clarke, Lund, Graham, planning director Zaleski, executive director of the Lexington Housing Authority, E. V. Maloney and 8 citizens were present at the hearing. The chairman read the notice of public hearing as published in the Lexington Minute -Man on April 22 and 29, 1971, and described the history REZONING of rezoning under Art. 91 of 1970 which created the RM district, the reason for changing the access and the need for future rezoning of surplus RM land not needed for housing when exact boundaries of the housing site are determined. Mr. Maloney explained in response to questions that 48 units for elderly HASTINGS LOT will be located on the site by the Housing Authority. He stated that agreement has been reached for the acquisition of the Hastings lot and that this will be the only exit from the development.
